How much
are we worth?

Mrs Lim Tai Tai Honey, the Ravindahs are so rich! They just bought another condominium and a new car!

Mr Wisely Lim Dear, a person's net worth is not determined by the assets he owns. If they took up huge loans to purchase the assets, they are also increasing their liabilities.

Mrs Lim Tai Tai Oh, does that mean our net worth may be higher then theirs, even though we stay in a smaller house and drive a small car?

Mr Wisely Lim Possibly, my dear.

The next step in financial planning involves looking at your current financial situation and assessing your net worth. Net worth is the difference in value between your assets and liabilities. We must be mindful not to incur additional and unnecessary liabilities while in the process of accumulating our assets.
